CATERING:

Since 1990, I’ve been catering both large and small events/gatherings. These have ranged from corporate lunches/dinners for 100 to intimate dinners for 6 or more in private homes.

I particularly enjoy meeting beforehand with clients to plan, discuss, and adapt menus according to the client’s preferences and interests. The broad spread of Indian cuisine is, of course, available, but I also specialize in adaptations and variations (what is usually called “eclectic”, these days). In short?….your chosen menu needn’t be entirely “Indian” or, for that matter, at all “Indian”…….the choice and choosing is up to you, and it’s a pleasure to accommodate varying tastes and needs (who wants to cook or eat the same menus, year after year?).

I should emphasize that I’m quite capable of understanding and accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences, so please don’t hesitate to make these clear when designing a menu for your guests.

SUBSCRIPTION DINNERS:

 

I’ve held a monthly series of successful cooking classes for the past three years at the historic (and quite lovely; circa 1800) Webb House in Hillsborough. I’ll be expanding on that arrangement by arranging a series of “subscription dinners” at The Webb House. Basically?….I’ll have a “pop-up restaurant”, with dinners for 10-12 people. Appetizers will be served in the 1790 front wing, or on the garden-courtyard in fine weather……followed by an informally-seated dinner in the spacious, sunny kitchen/dining room. Guests will, of course, be free to mingle, meet each other, and generally have a delightful evening. I like to think of this as a no-fuss, enjoyable opportunity to see old friends and make new ones.

Please email me if you’re interested in being included on the “Subscription dinners” email list. I’ll be posting proposed menus and dates for each dinner. Once I have at least 8-10 clients, we’re set to go…..and it’s all-fun from there on.
