The Replacements B&W image for All Shook Down promo

All Shookdown started life as Paul Westerberg‘s solo artist debut. Before the recording began, his management talked him into doing it as a Replacements album. As a result of its initial intent, All Shook Down is marked by numerous session, side, and journeyman musicians, in addition to the three other Replacements.

All Shookdown was my entry point with the Replacements. A standard achronological introduction to a musical artist, our signature style. Before our streaming age, 30 years ago, All Shook Down spun routinely in slot 1 of my 3 CD tray Aiwa Boom box.

You can discover many trivial details on Wiki and other sites, such as guest musicians, billboard status, and the short name for the band “Mats.” What do you get on D.C. Music: a culled section of our favorite tracks? Some readers have followed us for all 10.5 years and know we rarely steer you wrong, and if we do, you let us know.
