Harvard professors Richard Alpert and Timothy Leary made countercultural history in 1963 when they were fired for conducting controversial psychedelic drug research. In the purple haze aftermath, Alpert journeyed to India and found his guru Maharaj Ji, who renamed him Ram Dass (“Servant of God”). Best known for his 1971 bestseller “Be Here Now,” which was a spiritual touchstone of the era, Ram Dass became an inspiration to people across the globe. Sadie Hart is a singer/songwriter, yoga facilitator, musician, and seeker who loves to guide women’s circles, kirtan, and healing yoga workshops and weekly heart-centered asana classes. She completed her 200-Hour Hatha Yoga Teaching Certification with One Movement in Costa Rica and relocated from NYC to Nashville in 2013. Sadie has continuing education in Yoga For Trauma and Bhakti Yoga and is a certified Y12SR Leader. She completed her 300-Hour Advanced Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher Training online in Fall 2020 with Indra Yoga Institute.
