Ben Howard – Only Love (Glastonbury 2013)

Ben Howard – Only Love (Glastonbury 2013) HD 720p

Anyone lucky enough to catch the great documentary, Austin to Boston, would have noticed standout British folk singer, Ben Howard for his unique vocal style, finger-picking acoustic proficiency. and overall onstage charisma.

5 old VW camper vans. 4 bands. 3 thousand miles. 2 weeks. 1 gloriously backward tour. The adventure starts after a fire-fuelled final night at Austin’s SXSW Music Festival, where the bands (Ben Howard, The Staves, Nathaniel Rateliff, Bear’s Den) pile into their rides and head northeast. They play everywhere from bars to barns, rooms to rooftops, packing out tiny venues and wowing crowds with their unique sounds.

But heavy rainstorms, multiple breakdowns, and cramped conditions remind them that to push through sometimes you need to pull together. Featuring Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett and narrated by Gill Landry this documentary is about a modern tour, done the old-fashioned way.

I include the following video mostly for the crowd, response not for the audio quality. Whoever did his EQ needs an audio Otolaryngologist visit ASAP.

Here is a better live EQ for Ben and India, et al.

[Chorus 1]
While the faithful dispose of a generation
And all of the mountains rumble knowingly
I order a colada and sit to count my dollars
And watch eagles soar in circles
Perpetually

[Bridge]
Forever, forever
Such a beautiful thing

[Chorus 2]
Now I am older, I don’t look over my shoulder
I know what is there in front of me
Ten Marlboro cigarettes I’ve rolled the butts into the bottle tops
Today I will stare at the sea
Till my eyes have had enough

[Outro]
Enough, enough
Is that enough?

His major debut studio album came in 2011, titled Every Kingdom, followed by two more EP releases, Ben Howard Live (2011) and The Burgh Island E.P. (2012). As of 2017, he is a member of the band A Blaze of Feather with India Bourne, Mickey Smith, Nat Wason, Rich Thomas, and Kyle Keegan. This has been one of the biggest and most important projects I’ve ever worked on. Ben has always been one of my favorite artists; this is my way to say ” Thank You, Ben,” and my dream is for Ben to watch it. I hope this video will reach out to Ben somehow, I spent four months working on it, so please help me: Let’s tweet the video link to Ben’s Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #BENHOWARDDOC . THANK YOU! I edited this all; I downloaded hundreds of YouTube videos and then cut them together to create a compelling story. You hear Ben’s voice from all the interviews he has done in the past. This documentary took me four months to make, but it was worth it in the end. Unfortunately, I had to end it like this because I didn’t have any interviews form his last period… Thanks for Watching!

Echo-Auto-Device-

Echo for your Car

Add Alexa to your car – Connects to the Alexa app on your phone and plays through your car’s speakers via auxiliary input or your smartphone’s Bluetooth connection. Includes Vent Mount.

Designed for the road: Echo Auto can hear you over music, A/C, and road noise with eight microphones and far-field technology. Echo Auto is privacy enabled. You can press the microphone off button to electronically disconnect the microphones.

Go beyond radio – Voice control Echo Auto through the Alexa app to play Audible audiobooks, listen to podcasts, or stream Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, SiriusXM, or radio stations from around the world with TuneIn and iHeartRadio.

Just ask – Use your voice to play music, check the news, find the nearest gas station, and more.

Do more with your voice: Make calls, set reminders, add items to your shopping and to-do lists, or manage your calendar.

Alexa has skills – With tens of thousands of skills and counting, Alexa is always getting smarter.

Set location-based routines: Alexa can automatically start a series of actions when you leave the office or get home.

Ask for directions: Alexa can start navigation on your phone with supported apps like Waze, Google Maps, and Apple Maps.

We want you to know

Echo Auto connects to Alexa through the Alexa app on your phone and uses your existing smartphone data plan. Carrier charges may apply. Check if your vehicle’s air vents are compatible with the included mount.

Will this connect to my car?

Echo Auto connects to most cars that support Bluetooth to play music or have an auxiliary input. Check if your vehicle is compatible with Echo Auto via Bluetooth.

I was given a beta test tryout of Alexa Auto last year and utilized it on several long car trips. My 2013 Honda does not connect directly via Bluetooth to the Echo Auto; instead, we secure the echo with a cable through the auxiliary portal. My smartphone is the Bluetooth connection conduit for Alexa and my Bluetooth port, adding data usage on long car trips. One important caveat: Best to utilize a home wireless network during the initial setup steps. This initial setup at home will save you countless hours/headaches when remotely establishing the initial setup. The initial setup process is quick and easy with following instructions via your automobile Bluetooth system. My recommendation applies to the very first time you set up Alexa auto in your car.
