Here the full, unedited version of Rep AOC (no bleeping out).
‘I am someone’s daughter, too.’ — Watch Rep. AOC’s moving floor speech in response to Rep. Ted Yoho’s sexist attack and non-apology in full.

We need strong representation, advocating for the people of the United States in Congress.  Consider for a moment, how influential corporate interests are in Congress, especially post Citizens United and over the last 40 years.  When it comes to the people’s interest we need fighters to get some protection, would you agree?

The reason why the GOP and the executive branch is so afraid of AOC is based on her relentless questioning of the power interests.  Doing her job in a most surgically accurate fashion.  One may disagree with some or all of her political positions and still admire her tenacity.

Here are some of the best moments:

An attempt to embarrass Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez not only backfires on the GOP but solidifies and expanded her base of support.  The Twitter video shared below and growing in interest each moment since the release was an attempt to show that Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was too frivolous and not serious enough to sit in the illustrious House of Representatives.    We know how a young, brilliant qualified woman from the Bronz makes some of the old guard GOP nervous.

The Durham Cool team is now even more unashamedly head over heels in love with Representative Ocasio-Cortez for 1) demonstrating expert meme dance skills 2) having fun while attending Boston college (oh my goodness) 3) being unabashedly joyful!  4) Being Beautiful 5) adding value to an already estimable sharp and insightful mind. 6) dancing on a rooftop with passion and elan.

Despite captions to the contrary, the clip is not from Ocasio-Cortez’s high school years — it’s from 2010, when she was a senior at Boston University. The audio in the video going around isn’t original, either. As Parker Higgins pointed out in an extensive Twitter thread, it’s actually part of an early meme. In mid-2009, a video mashup of the dance sequence from The Breakfast Cluband Phoenix’s song “Lisztomania” went viral, eventually inspiring a group of people in Brooklyn to create a shot-by-shot remake. “Then a group in SF did it too and it was off to the races,” Higgins wrote, “with versions popping up all over the place.”

The version Ocasio-Cortez appears in — also a shot-for-shot remake of the original — is Boston University’s contribution.

Cuomo is a fair questioner. The question was framed to provide a platform for Alexandria Ocasio Cortez to discuss her well-reasoned position. Cuomo was asking the question that the old guard of both parties always raises against single payer/Universal Health Care. Cuomo was very much aware how Alexandria Ocasio Cortez would answer the question, he was simply giving her the leaping off point to answer her critics. Cuomo’s response of, “That’s why elections matter” was a compliment to voters and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. Game changers don’t come along very often, if ever in this Corprotacracy (post-Citizens United Supreme Court Decision) so be prepared for the old guard, elected millionaires of both parties react and resist her advocacy. Alexandria is different than the much beloved Bernie Sanders in that she is not a millionaire.
