Sugarshack Films presents a three-part documentary series about musician Trevor Hall. The series follows Trevor on tour from a return to his home state of South Carolina to Red Rocks and explores the journey in the making of his latest album “The Fruitful Darkness” and life on the road.
I highly recommend watching all 3 episodes of this brief docu-series, short in length, deep in the thought, warmth, and humility that is Trevor Hall.
People don’t you lose your warrior spirit
People call upon it if you need it
People don’t forget to stand in the power
People this may be the final hour
So what we gonna do
All upon the sky
I can only see rain
If we’re gonna survive
Better find a new way
Evil gonna break down
We about to build-up
Calling on a new sound
Strength in One
People don’t forget your own true nature
People look inside and meet your maker
So what we gonna do

So what we gonna doHere is an update to this Trevor article on this 16th day of October, prompted by a Trevor Hall Twitter post about the release of a new video for the track “Moon and Sun” from the Fruitfull Darkness release. Durham Cool is a great place to discover new and old music from artists like Trevor Hall!
I was introduced to Trevor Hall through the Bhakti world of Jon SESKEVICH. I listened to the better part of Trevor Hall‘s discography prior to watching a single YouTube video. Like most, I was surprised to find such a large voice emanating from a young man of modest size. This is, of course, the common first reaction. The response after watching most of his published and shared videos on YouTube, there is undeniable talent, soul and charisma emanating from Trevor Hall!

Background and early life
Trevor Hall up in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Hall grew up surrounded by music due in part to his father who was a drummer and musician. After dabbling with multiple instruments including trombone and bass, he decided to learn guitar in hopes of becoming a singer-songwriter one day. At age 16 he recorded his first album. Shortly after, Hall left South Carolina for Los Angeles where he enrolled and studied classical guitar at Idyllwild Arts Academy. During his time, he was introduced to yoga and meditation practices and spirituality, which made a major impact on him and has since influenced his life and music. During his senior year at Idyllwild Arts Academy, Hall was signed to Geffen Records, which signaled the formal start of his career.
